There has been Christian Worship in this parish since the 11th century. The nature of the village has evolved considerably over those years. We are a parish of 7500, with a beautiful beach and many fields, looking as they do to Arundel and the North Downs. As a Church of the Church of England, St Nicholas, Middleton has sought to meet the needs of the parish, through changing times. One aspect has been several extensions to our current Church building, the 170th anniversary of whose Consecration was on 22nd April 2019. For example, the latest Extension to the Church was opened in May 2007. This enables the Church to have a larger and more flexible worship area, and to offer Hall hire facilities to the community. The Extension project retained a number of historical features, whilst make for a building with comfortable seating, and often filled with light. Our aim, with humility, is to try to be "The Church at the Heart of the Community". You would be very welcome to join us for Worship, private prayer, or social activities, and also to hire the Hall.
